Certification extends LeapXpert's secure communications platform to federal agencies, closing the compliance gap on the messaging apps government officials already use
NEW YORK, NY and WASHINGTON, DC – November 4, 2026 – LeapXpert, the leader in Governed Communication Intelligence, today announced it has achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Class C Certification in partnership with Knox Systems (Knox), the largest federal AI-managed cloud provider. The certification extends LeapXpert's platform to federal agencies, closing the gap between how federal officials communicate and what federal records requirements demand.
Messaging apps like Signal, WhatsApp, iMessage, SMS, Telegram, and RCS have become standard tools for federal officials because they are fast, efficient, and easy to use, but they sit outside agency IT visibility and control, with no captured record. That leaves agencies unable to meet National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) retention rules or fully respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, even though federal mandates call for encrypted messaging with full logging and archival.
With FedRAMP Class C Certification, LeapXpert governs and captures every conversation on those channels as a complete, audit-ready record, delivered directly into agencies' GovCloud archives, NARA systems, FOIA repositories, and eDiscovery platforms. FIPS 140-2 encryption and agency-managed keys keep the data sovereign; support for Controlled Unclassified Information under NIST 800-171 and CMMC helps agencies respond to FOIA requests, congressional inquiries, and inspector general investigations faster.
"Federal officials are already having important conversations on Signal, WhatsApp, and other messaging platforms — the only question is whether their agency can see and govern them," said Irina Denisenko, CEO of Knox Systems. "By clearing LeapXpert's path to FedRAMP Class C Certification, Knox is helping agencies close one of the most consequential blind spots in government communications, giving them the audit-ready record and control that NARA and FOIA obligations demand."
"FedRAMP Certification is a rigorous, independent validation of security architecture, not a checkbox," said Dima Gutzeit, Founder and CEO of LeapXpert. "We built LeapXpert to enable and govern communication at the point of origin, not after the fact, and that same architecture is what made this authorization possible. Federal agencies now get the same governance our enterprise customers have relied on for years."
“Government is one of our fastest-growing segments, and this partnership with Knox Systems allows us to serve that demand at the pace agencies need," said Avi Pardo, Co-founder and Chief Business Officer of LeapXpert. "Paired with our public sector channel network, we're ready to bring agencies the same governance and security our enterprise customers already depend on."
